CHRISTMAS RED KETTLE DRIVE

by The Salvation Army of Buffalo

Taylor Van Ness

This Christmas, let's work together to help families in need -
Many of us are fortunate to have everything we need during the holiday season, but so many in our community do not. This Christmas, it is my mission to help make the holidays special for inner-city children in our area. By giving, you can help provide a hot meal, new toys, or a night of shelter for someone in Buffalo. Please make a donation below or choose to become a fundraiser. Together, we can help families in need have a Merry Christmas.

In December of 1891, Captain McFee of The Salvation Army wanted to provide a Christmas dinner for 1,000 people in San Francisco, but had no way to pay for it.  McFee placed a brass pot at the Oakland ferry landing.  Beside the pot, he placed a sign that read, “Keep the Pot Boiling".  Soon, he had all the money he needed to fund the Christmas dinner.
